Our supervised and structured playtime, enrichment games, naps keep your dog entertained all day long. You can even book them in for a bath & tidy, so they come home smelling as fresh as a daisy!
What is Doggy DayCare？
Doggy day care has taken off in a big way in recent years, day care is one of the safest and most effective ways to ensure your pooch gets the socialisation, exercise, mental stimulation and loving attention they need when you’re not able to be with them.
At Alameda in Christchurch, since July 2015, we’ve offered this service in our spacious playground, accommodating all sizes with room to roam, play, and interact safely, available 7 days a week.

Daytime activities include varied playgroups, water recreation, and canine interaction. Our multiple play yards allow daily rotation across distinct recreational zones and social groups. We also provide individual yard playtime, either in a secure, controlled environment with other dogs or in a private yard.
Choose from Doggy DayCare, Indoor Kennels, or Fully Sheltered Outdoor Kennels.

Daily Boarding Rates
- Doggie daycare is available 7 days a week and open on public holidays.
- Except Christmas holidays from 20 December to 10 January.
- Rates start on arrival; afternoon pick-up count as an extra day.
- Public holidays incur an additional $7 charge per pet, including morning pick-up.
- Vaccination records required for all dogs.
*Peak period (20 Dec – 10 Jan): 7-day minimum charge.

The cost of your dog’s stay with Alameda will vary depending on a number of factors, including you choose, the length of the stay, the number of dogs, and any extras you may want to add.
Are discounts available for additional dogs?
At Alameda, we accommodate sibling pets sharing a kennel with tailored pricing.

Do you offer short-term or long-term dog stays?
Yes, Alameda offers flexible dog boarding, from overnight stays to extended breaks, tailored to your schedule.
Plus, our Doggy Day Care provides daily fun, ensuring your pup stays active and happy whenever you’re away.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated and desexed?
all dogs need current C5 vaccinations—puppies board 10 days after their final shot.
Desexing isn’t required, but we don’t accept dogs in heat; if it happens, an emergency contact must collect them within 24 hours.
We will not accommodate entire males in the same room as undesexed females.
How old does my dog have to be to stay at your dog hotel?
Dogs of all ages and sizes are welcome to join us. We simply ask that they meet the vaccination requirements:
Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 or better vaccine and an annual Canine Cough vaccination.
What if my dog takes medication?
Our experienced carers can administer your dog’s medication for a small fee.
Please notify us of medical needs at booking, supply all medications in original packaging with written dosage instructions, If possible, include extra medication in case their stay needs to be extended.
Can I bring my dog's own food?
Yes! We accept personal food for dogs, with a $2 daily discount.
Please notify us during booking and provide clearly labeled meals in sealed containers with feeding instructions.
Please inform our staff if your dog has any food allergies.
Can I bring my dog's own bedding and toys?
We provide premium bedding and enrichment toys for all guests.
You’re welcome to bring your dog’s favorite comfort item — though our curated selection ensures tail-wagging enjoyment throughout their stay!
Can you provide me with updates throughout my dog's stay?
We’ll share spontaneous photo stories through your preferred channel (email/Instagram) —
capturing unexpected joy, cozy naps, and play triumphs to keep you smiling with every wagging tail here.
Can I inspect your dog boarding accommodation?
Absolutely, and we encourage tours before your check-in date!
